VALERIE DONATI
Valerie McIntyre has spent the past 25 years creating high impact brand strategies, communications campaigns and revenue streams for clients that range from prestigious cultural organizations and social entrepreneurs to global lifestyle brands. She worked for several of New York City’s top public relations firms before heading up an in-house communications division for branding firm Toth + Co.
In January 2007 Valerie founded her own firm Brand Building Communications with clients that included L’Oreal Paris, Bausch & Lomb, and Mars Wrigley, among others. A proponent of “clean water for all” she has served for 15 years as a board member of charity: water – an influential non-profit providing water for communities throughout the world.
Most recently she helped launch Made By Us, a nationwide, nonpartisan coalition of history organizations joining forces to ignite and inform younger generations. Out of this effort Civic Season was born. Co-created by Gen Z and cultural institutions, Civic Season invites everyone to discover their story and role in history – supported by a vast array of credible, relevant sources.
For the C3 movement of churches, Valerie and her husband Simon led C3 London for 10 years – 2011-2021 while growing the European region from 12 churches to 40. She served on the global executive team for 10 years and during her tenure launched and ran the C3 global communications department. From 2020-2024 she and Simon oversaw the C3 America’s region for the global office.
One of her greatest joys in life is helping other people realize their passions and dreams. She dedicates several hours each month toward mentoring women in business who are looking to activate the yes in their life and start something new. You can read more about her approach here.
Currently, she and Simon live between Miami, Florida and Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. Fulfilling a lifelong passion for writing fiction, she has recently finished a cosmic fantasy thriller for young people.
