AMAZING GRACE
Ephesians 2:4-10 ESV
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
I love God, with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind & with all my strength. By His wonderful Grace I’ve been restored, transformed & made new! Our story is one of redemption, of the miraculous & of a child-like faith; we now dedicate our lives to sharing what God can do, if you simply believe.
Six years ago we made the absolute best decision by responding to an invite that we had no idea would change the direction of our lives forever. That Easter Sunday 2018, in a small Anglican Hall during the early stages of C3 Whangārei, we found Jesus. We walked through those Church doors & in one moment we felt home, we felt loved & we felt accepted; the one place we didn’t have to pretend anymore, we were embraced & our lives mattered. Life began to make sense, we started to realize that God had a plan for everything we had endured, all of the suffering, the brokenness & the pain, eventually leading us to Him. Overcoming alcoholism, drug addiction, trauma, oppression, poverty, adultery, strongholds, violence, failed marriages, depression, anxiety, toxic behaviors, isolation, emotional/physical & sexual abuse, unworthiness, generational curses, and so much more…..
From that moment on, we simply kept showing up! Week in & week out. We attended D1, we joined a connect group, we started serving at Church, we decided to follow Jesus, we got baptized, we got married & we found purpose in who the Lord created us to be! God called us out of the darkness & into His glorious light; bringing faith, hope & love when we thought there was nothing left. Restoring something that was once broken, through the most powerful love of all! That covers a multitude of sins, keeps no records of wrongs & endures forever.
God’s grace is a gift to all who believe & for me there is no turning back. Until the day He calls me home, I will be utterly & wholeheartedly devoted to the one; who saved a wretch like me.
